Les activités qui nous intéressent :

We have experience pet-sitting, Gardening, Cleaning/tidying, Childcare, Cooking, painting/anything creative. But there's nothing we aren't willing to learn so we'd love to pick up new skills!

Description

Alex and I are creative and passionate artists inspired by the world around us- we love meeting new people, experiencing new places and doing what we can to give back.

We have a huge love for animals and nature, finding it hard to resist the urge to climb up a good tree or stop to pet a wandering cat. I have two cats at my family’s home and they are the sweetest!

Spirituality and philosophy is something that intrigues us both, we’re up for trying different forms of meditation and yoga, and always love the opportunity to talk about spiritual topics. Hearing about people's different belief systems and thought processes is one of the most interesting things to me.

Another thing we’d love to share with you is our love for books, movies and music! We could talk about our favourite films for hours and same with music🤭

Of course we also love to paint and draw in our spare time, and absolutely any form of creative expression for that matter. To us, everything we do is a form of art, whether it’s taking a photo, doing the gardening or cooking. We put our creativity into the work we do and that really makes it worth while and unique to us. We enjoy a challenge, and don’t shy away from hard work, whether it’s mental or physical. We are extremely dedicated to the things we do and do everything to the best of our ability.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As for practical experience, from an early age I've been maintaining my childhood home and garden as well as preparing meals. I took care of my elderly Grandad throughout the late stages of dementia.

Alex has had a lot of animal care experience from growing up with birds, cats and dogs. I have volunteered walking dogs for the elderly and owned cats as well as paid dog-walking.

We both have 4 years of experience working in hospitality, food and retail so are great at communicating and following time restraints. My jobs have involved cleaning, front of house, food preparation, working with a team. I have a calm attitude to work, am adaptable and efficient as well as being extremely reliable.

I am also skilled in various creative mediums such as film processing, studio photography, photoshop, graphic design, textiles and have an extensive knowledge on printing equipment from working in a print studio.

With childcare, Alex has helped raise his nephews and I look part in a babysitting course, learning first aid training for babies. We were taken to a Montessori school in Mysore, India as a part of a sociology project and were able to talk and make art with the kids which we both found really invigorating.

So far we’ve done two workaways- one involved the upkeep of a small organic farm in Greece involving pruning, weeding, raking, arranging wood and general tidying. The other was work in a youth hostel in Goa that involving cleaning, watering plants, taking care of the dogs and up keeping the hostel/making guests happy. I also got to paint a mural on a wall of the garden!

We also took part in a stone- carving workshop a few weeks ago and we need a lot more practice but it’s definitely something we want to try again!

We aren’t extremely sporty but we do love to skateboard, surf and swim! So if there’s an opportunity we’ll be doing these in our spare time!
