Hi there!

My name is Lisa, I am 26, and I am a soon-to-be medical doctor finishing my degree at the historical University of Padua, Italy. My journey has been driven by a desire for more: I started medical school in Minsk (Belarus), then studied in Umeå (Sweden), and finally transferred to Italy. Throughout my studies, volunteering and connecting with people has been my mindset. After graduation, I dream of working with international charity organizations.

I drive for deep, meaningful connections and my diverse background. I am someone who can easily navigate a fast-paced medical environment, adapt to new cultures, and chat with you in multiple languages, yet I find my peace and true joy in the strict beauty of Nordic nature. I’ve spent a wonderful year as an Au Pair in Stockholm, volunteered for the Swedish Red Cross, and previously completed a fantastic Workaway on a cider farm in Sogndal, Norway. I’m not just looking for a place to stay; I’m looking for a true cultural exchange where I can bring my positive energy, responsibility, and unique life experience.

I am a true animal lover and a professional when it comes to dogs. Back home, I have a Hungarian Vizsla and a Chihuahua (and we recently lost our eldest dog to old age), so I am equally confident and comfortable handling both large, active breeds and tiny ones. For me, pets are full family members who deserve endless cuddles, long walks, and respect.

I am highly responsible, independent, and deeply in love with both city culture, art, and the raw beauty of Nordic nature. I love connecting with people, exploring new cultures, and I am always open to fresh ideas and experiences. Currently, I am actively looking for a Workaway experience in Norden (with Norway as my top priority, but also Sweden, Denmark, Finland, or Iceland). My main goal is to fully immerse myself in the local lifestyle, get to know the culture from the inside, and practice my languages. I speak Russian, English, Swedish, and Norwegian, alongside a bit of Danish and Italian.

I am absolutely in love with languages — especially rare, unique, and interesting ones! I am a true linguistic enthusiast who adores learning and sharing knowledge. My language journey is a testament to this passion: I started learning Norwegian back in Belarus out of pure love for the culture, then moved to Sweden and mastered Swedish. Currently, I am expanding my horizons even further by learning Lithuanian, Turkish, and improving my Italian. Plus, coming from Belarus, I naturally understand both Polish and Ukrainian. I love actually speaking languages and connecting through them. With my professional background teaching Swedish and volunteering as a language mentor for the Red Cross in Sweden, I can easily help your family practice English, Swedish, or Russian, or chat about any of the other languages I know!

I am a highly responsible and versatile helper with a rich background in childcare, animal care, and professional communication. Here is how I can contribute to your home or project:

1. Advanced Pet Care: I am a true dog enthusiast. Back home, I own a Hungarian Vizsla and a Chihuahua, so I am completely confident handling both large, active breeds and tiny dogs. I love long walks, playtime, and treating pets like family.

2. Childcare & Au Pair: I spent a wonderful year as an Au Pair in Stockholm and worked extensively as a nanny during my first years of med school. Combined with my medical background, I am exceptionally patient, safety-conscious, and fun with kids.

3. Language Practice & Teaching: I have professional experience in language exchange. I used to teach Swedish and actively volunteered as a Swedish language mentor for the Red Cross in Sweden. I can help practice English, Swedish, Russian. I am language enthusiast and even trying to learn Lithuanian and Turkish.

4. Copywriting & Medical Content: I work as a professional copywriter. I can help you with content creation, writing, or researching medical articles and translating complex health topics into engaging texts.

5. Organization & Cultural Exchange: I have an eye for detail and can help with organization of events/travels/deals. As an avid traveler who has traveled in the whole Europe and lived in Belarus, Sweden, and Italy, I always bring positive energy and great stories to the table.
