Hi ,I am a mature pragmatic woman from New Zealand. I am conscientious, a good communicator, flexible and adaptable. I am fit and capable, have a ‘can do’ attitude, am easy going by nature with range of experience in many areas.
I enjoy meeting new people and supporting those particularly caring for rescued animals. My main experience is working with street dogs, in rescues and in shelters. I have worked for the SPCA, the Humane Society and volunteered in programs and shelters in India, Bulgaria, Croatia, Moldova, and Pacific Islands over the last 13 years. While my main interest is in animal care and welfare I am also happy to work in gardens and support people in their homes and in daily life. I live a simple life in a small basic home in a relatively remote part of rural New Zealand. I love nature, particularly the sea, reading , gardening. I do not need entertaining, yet enjoy some shared time and conversation. I prefer to be accommodated in a private, self contained space where I am happy for the most part to make my own meals.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a range skills from practical hands on animal care skills, gardening, driving, cleaning through to managing the daily work flow, logistics and supervising others. I've worked in the responsible roles - Quality control in a dog management program and as the primary point of contact in helping resolve animal welfare issues in rural small town New Zealand. I have also facilitated job seekers courses. I enjoy researching and writing particularly about animal welfare and social justice issues. I have the communication, people and computer skills required to work with others but I'm just as happy mucking out and getting on with things unsupervised.
