Description
Hello everyone,
I'm Leticia, 35 years old from The Netherlands. I have joined workaway by recommendation from a friend. I think this is a good way to get to know more about other countries, to connect and see how people live their daily life. Of course with the technology and internet nowadays you can easily see it in your own home, but to be in that country or place is just a different experience. Currently I'm traveling in the Caribbean Islands. By joining Workaway I can also contribute in helping in a community. Because of that I can learn new skills and improve my skills and grow as a person. In the past I did voluntary work and helped foreign students in the Dutch language. As well in Colombia, I worked for a ngo organisation in a work camp. We organised different activities for children in a town near Santa Marta. While travelling in Colombia, I also got the opportunity through Workaway to assist teachers at a private school in English lessons.
Dance has always been my passion, I started following dance classes from an early age and took the step to study Dance Education. I graduated as BA in Dance Education and Arts. In my profession I gave dance classes for anyone and everyone:) In addition I worked in the last three years in childcare, combined I also worked these past two years in a hotel as a housekeeper. And the past seven months as a waitress at the same hotel in The Netherlands.
I'm interest in learning new skills but also develop the skills I have. For example I'm interest in learning how to use and maintain a boat. Because I want to get a boat license and planning for next year to follow a course on how to sail.
Also working on my Spanish, French and English and am interested in learning German. I like to fix and do things in the house for example painting, DIY works etc. If there's someone who shares my interests let me know and hopefully...

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I graduated in Education for Dance and Art. In my career I work as a dance teacher. I also worked in child daycare centre and gave dance workshops for kids from 4-10 years.
I'm a doer, observer and thinker. I like to stay fit and healthy, so I excercise a lot. For example hiking, dancing, swimming and mostly stretching.
