Hi! My name is Leslie, I’m 21 years old and currently on a gap year.

I love learning about new cultures, experiences, lifestyles, and art forms; I’m curious about everything! Traveling and meeting new people is a passion of mine. I’m adventurous and enjoy spending time in nature as much as exploring new cities.

I’m also a big animal lover. I have two cats and a dog at home, and caring for animals always makes me happy. In my free time I enjoy trying new recipes, hiking, reading, and knitting ; I’d be happy to teach anyone who’s interested!

Hosts can expect me to be reliable, tidy, and easy to communicate with. I’m comfortable working independently but also really enjoy being part of a team. In addition to outdoor work, I’m happy to help with cooking, housekeeping, animal care, and other miscellaneous tasks around the house.

I’m passionate about mental health and regularly volunteer for a crisis hotline. I hope to complete a Master’s in Social Work and become a therapist one day.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Outdoors
I have hands-on experience from working on two farms in Europe. I assisted with weeding, preparing garden beds, terrace building, cleaning a chicken coop, and general outdoor maintenance. I enjoy physical work and am comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Animals
I am confident caring for dogs and cats. I’ve had several pets throughout my life and volunteered at an animal shelter for three years, primarily working with cats. I would love to gain more experience with farm animals.

Cooking
I enjoy cooking for my family of four and would be happy to cook with or for you. Recently, I have been learning how to bake bread. I would also love to learn local recipes and food traditions from your culture.

Housekeeping
I am organized, tidy, and happy to help with cleaning, laundry, and general household tasks.

Administrative
I have three years of experience working in dental offices as an intern and assistant. I’m comfortable with customer service in a clinical setting and would be happy to apply these organizational and communication skills in other environments.

Childcare
My preference is to help families primarily through the skills listed above. However, I’m happy to assist with occasional childcare when needed. I have worked at a summer camp for autistic children and was the primary caretaker for a three-year-old nonverbal autistic child. I have also volunteered in a research lab studying families with autistic children, which has helped me develop awareness and sensitivity to different family needs.
