Hi! My name is Leonie. I’ll be finishing my Master’s degree at the end of March and am so excited to get back on the road!! I have travelled with Workaway before in Japan in 2019/20 during my gap year(s) after High School and then again in Italy in 2023 after finishing my Bachelor's degree. I have also visited Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia and absolutely love meeting new people and travelling. Now I finally have the time to pursue one of my favourite hobbies again, as I will be taking a year off until I continue my studies in 2027.

I am interested in learning Italian, French, and Spanish. I have this goal of learning as many languages during my life as possible (definitely not there yet at all haha). I am currently taking the A2 course for Italian at my university:) Reagarding teaching languages, I feel comfortable teaching German (my mothertounge) and English, though I'd assume most people who are travelling via WorkAway are already confident with the latter:)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am definitely not afraid to get my hands dirty, as I have worked as maintenance and gardener in Hobitton, New Zealand, and also did some farm work on a permaculture farm in Japan as part of my last trip with workaway.
I am also very good with people, I usually get along with everyone and have a good sense of humour (some people would say I am making way to many dad jokes though).
I will be getting my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in April, but I think for once this is not the most relevant thing in an application:)

Regarding anything else, I love sports, I do partner acrobatics and handstand tricks. I also love boardgames and pen&paper, as I currently play DnD and Pathfinder. I also do live action role-play with a few friends combined with acrobatics, we are playing travelling showmen.
And I like to do music, I play violin and a bit of guitar and piano.
