Description

Hi there - My name is Leah (pronounced like Leia), I am 25 years old, and I am currently trying to navigate adulthood as gracefully as possible. My simple goals in life are to enjoy life, heal, learn, and grow.

I am currently traveling in the UK (London, Edinburgh, Dublin) for the first time visiting some friends and forming new connections!

I am open to many different types of Workaway experiences and environments. My interests include art/design, early childhood, social work, psychology, birth work and activism. I would also love to try many new things outside of my interests and gain new skills! It is important to me that the workaway environment I am in is one of acceptance, open-mindedness, and kindness.

I often visit my sisters and cousins who live in Israel-Palestine, where I am involved in anti-occupation and pro-Palestinian activism. As a Jewess, this is an issue very close to my heart (I am happy to discuss this more).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a lot of experience working in childcare. I also have some knowledge of early childhood development and psychology. I am great at tidying up and cleaning. I love to help other people feel organized, whether that means helping to organize a physical space or helping someone plan for something (researching and finding resources). I enjoy interior design and curation. I love beautifying a space and making people feel excited about their surroundings. I also have some experience in ceramics, sculpture, photography and drawing. As I mentioned above, I have experience being involved in political activism and social justice causes and will gladly help organize. Lastly, I have experience in hospitality and customer service (I love connecting with strangers and being helpful!)

I love to sing and make music with others. I also love to dance, listen to music, do yoga, swim, and connect with people in a deep and meaningful way. I am an open book. I am very intrigued by the healing arts - sound healing, reiki, breathwork... I am also very interested in birth work and birth education (Doula work, etc.).

  I don't eat pork or shellfish. Nor do I eat cheese and meat products together. However, I have absolutely no problem eating with those who do!
