Hi, I'm Lea!

I've been traveling and working with Workaway for two and a half years and done several volunteerings in Italy and Turkey while working remotely as an academic editor and proofreader. I have now moved to ITALY and live with my boyfriend on the border of Liguria and Piedmont, visiting Genoa regularly, where I previously lived for several months. I'm more settled, but I still work remotely and I still feel the need, the energy and the openness to keep traveling, experiencing, inspiring and being inspired.

In addition to my work as an editor, writing consultant, and teacher, I have been writing poetry for years and have my own novel as well as translation project.
I would love to exchange ideas with people who also write, and it would be great to be involved in art and writing workshops and creating creative spaces. I am looking for collaborations between artists to network and reflect with each other and perhaps start joint projects, for example on poetry and photography or painting. I am happy when I can use, promote and offer my strong intuition for language and multilingualism in an artistic context.

I have worked in hostels, in a watersports school, on an organic farm, with private individuals and with many dogs and other animals. I am sensitive, open for emotions and energies, sociable and warm and try to give and receive love in healthy relationships. I also enjoy cooking for others and sharing meals. I feel happiest and most active in warm, sunny, bright places.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- due to the current job: editing and proofreading, communication, coaching in writing, teaching German as a foreign language (also medical terms), time and self management in homeoffice

- graduated university studies:
B. A.: history, german philology
M. A.: literary studies & criticism
- other training/apprenticeship while studying: academic writing consultant with working experience incl. research, online communication, giving workshops and PR. This training enables me as well to give creative and academic writing workshops. In Göttingen (GER) and Genova (IT) I organised a group of writers and drawers who were interested in sharing their texts and in working together in a creative, open and respectful environment.
- and voluntary: working with and for refugees incl. ER, writing/translating for publicity as well as teaching German.

hostel reception, event hosting, bar/kitchen assistance (English/Italian/German/Spanish/French),
appartment, hostel and beach cleaning,
kayak and stand up paddle class in a watersport center (French/English),
caring for and training of dogs,

I am a sensitive, empathic person with a feeling for people and moods and have quite a lot of experience in consulting also in a psychological sense - without having a degree in that field, this is just what I learned during research, practicing, reflecting and therapy. I feel like those experiences help me now helping others. In fact, this helps me in addition to connect with animals and to be sensitive for their needs and way of communication. In general I connect deeply with people and animals quite fast and have good access to both my emotions and those of others.

I trained Muay Thai in Germany for a year and would love to go on training,
I like climbing besides that, so far I have a toprope level and I wish to climb also outside,
I enjoy singing and dancing very much and would enjoy some training, too ...
