Hi, my name is Lea and I am currently studying environmental engineering in Germany. In my freetime I like to go outside and do sports like swimming, cycling and hiking. Especially being in nature always brings me relaxation and inspiration. On the other hand I like to do handicrafts like sewing, knitting and painting and have there always some projects going on. With my friends I usually go for a walk, we cook together and play board games or we make music together. I play the flute and a bit of piano.
I usually spend my holidays by doing bikepacking or going hiking. But now I want to try something new! I have always loved learning new languages and "workaway" seems like the perfect opportunity to really get to know the country and its people and so to test my language skills. I hope I can give something back in return.
I like cooking (especially baking!) and helping around the house and the garden. I am not used to renovation tasks but I am always interested in learning new skills. And I think I should be a fast learner ;)
I grew up with four siblings and I was a swimming teacher for children for a few years. So I think I am good with kids.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I study environmental engineering and am therefore generally used to working independently and focused. My study content is not so interesting here but in summary I am interested in protecting the environment and finding a solution of balanced human and nature living.
As I grew up in a family of 7 (+ 2 cats) and now living alone with my boyfriend I am used to cooking and work around the house which I still enjoy. And the big family life I always enjoyed.
So far I have only ever watered the garden, but I am interested in expanding my knowledge there.
Renovation tasks are completely new for me but I have always liked handicrafts and I would be happy to learn some new skills. And normally I am a quick learner.

I am not a vegetarian, but at home I only cook vegetarian, so I hope I can give some new inspiration there. On the other hand, I hope to get to know a few traditional dishes.
