Hi there :) I'm Lea, originally from Germany where I worked as a physiotherapist and recently finished my osteopathy degree; while working day-to-day with humans, I had proceeded with a further training in dog osteopathy, which is a very interesting field for me.
I finished with the seminars this summer (2026), and am doing a bit of dream-fulfilling now: explore Europe via workaway (work & travel) together with my dog, Frida.
She is a Bernese Mountain dog (5 years old), usually a bit nervous/shy at first, once she gets comfy and "the ice is broken" she's calm with a big heart for cuddles and cookies. 😁
I am passionate about travelling (recent highlight: a Roadtrip in New Zealand! wow!) I have lived in Ireland, Finland and Spain for few months/years during school and university. I love experiencing other cultures and languages, get to know people and their stories, share memories and big laughs. 😇
I am sporty, have played handball and volleyball in the past, enjoy dancing, skiing, yoga, hiking and am always happy to try other things - only recently had my first surf lesson! Also, I have been teaching Zumba classes next to my studies and main-work for over 10 years now. 💃🏻
I live mostly vegan and enjoy cooking&baking, i like experimenting with recipes and to share the results with great people.
I am more of a nature person, not too much of a city-girl and usually like to avoid crowds😅. i Love forest walks, nature hikes and the ocean is magical to me, I dream of living close to the sea in the future! 🌊
I love being creative, if that is with a recipe, small hand crafts / sewing / DIY, something digital like a flyer or writing, and especially drawing/painting - (lately mostly study cards, haha, but also a poster and walls I got to decorate..)
I am always excited to develop new skills, too, and would consider myself a fast learner.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Since over the past years I have been quite busy with my studies, I was and am working a lot in study-groups. That is something I really like; working together on a project, getting different ideas and knowledge backgrounds together.
Based on my professional background, I have experience in human physiotherapy and osteopathy, now also building on my dog(animal)-osteopathy skills.
Animals have quick access to my heart, I would love to get involved in animal care.
I enjoy cooking and baking and especially to share / prepare these for others.
When it comes to household chores I can surely help, I actually like ironing clothes 😂
I am creative - have already done a few sewing projects (dress, bags,..), smaller hand-crafts and painting projects (walls, birthday cards, wood signs,...), created flyers digitally, ...
I have few experiences with hanging wallpapers and putting furniture together from helping friends (or myself) move - but my building skills are definitely something I would like to develop.
Though I don't have much experience yet, I am a quick learner and want to be a helping hand.

I'm new here, and very excited to start my workaway-journey, connect with people, learn new skills, get to know different cultures and ways of living. Hope that I can give back as much and share all of this with my furry girl !
