Hey,

I am Lara from Germany.
I am 21 Years old and I grew up in a small village with a big family. I love nature and long walks with my dog. I passed my "Abitur" (Ending of school) in June 2023 and my training as a pedagogical assistant (working with children).
I took part in an Erasmus project in Denmark. I also went on a sailing trip with other young people. That's when I realised that I love being on the sea. Unfortunately, I don't have a sailing licence yet.

Now I want to gain new experiences and travel the world. Get to know many people in different countries. I would also like to learn English. I am willing to learn new things in crafts, gardening and much more.

I love to read and make music. I sing in a band. I am both thoughtful, creative and adventurous. I'm looking for destinations in Europe and then it can be further away.

I had already worked with sled dogs in Sweden, doing the daily routines and some of the medical care. After this experience "Work Away" took me to Trondheim, Norway. There I worked at a horse farm and was able to learn a lot of new things about horses. Afterwards I helped a woman in the mountains with housework. I am very grateful for the unforgettable months and the new friends I made. I am now looking forward to gaining more experience here at Work Away.

My curiosity and thirst for adventure has grown even more. I enjoy getting to know new cultures.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I like working with children and other people. Especially with children I have a lot of experience in "Children-Care-Center".

I also support my grandfather in gardening and help in my neighborhood.

I love cooking and trying out many things.
I like to do handicrafts and love to be creative.
I would really like to work with animals and I can imagine it, but I only have experience with dogs and a bit with horses.

I also have experience in the catering industry. In Germany, I worked for months as a service assistant in a clinic. I looked after the buffet and was in direct contact with the customers.

I do my best and am willing to learn new things.
I am a motivated, open-mind and communicative person who likes to get to know new cultures.

  I don't have a special or strict nutrition form. However, I have no problem eating vegetarian at a host, for example. I also love learning more about different forms of nutrition and new recipes.
