Hi! My name is Lara, I’m 23 years old and I just started gap year after graduating from uni with bachelor's degree in business psychology. I like getting out of my comfort zone, (solo) traveling on a budget, and meeting new people.
I am looking for great work exchange hosts and hope to meet interesting people along the way.
I used to be an au pair in the US after graduating from high school 2019. I gained a lot of responsibility, self-initiative, and adaptation to a new culture and went on several solo trips.
As a child, I also traveled a lot with my parents in a van/caravan through Europe, which strengthened my ‘wanderlust’.

Speaking other languages is educational! By speaking another language, it allows you to open up a new culture and new possibilities for your own future life. I realized this especially when I taught the German language to refugees. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn a foreign language. German is my mother tongue, but I can also help with learning English.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a very organized, open and extremely patient person. I am very good with people from young to old. Especially in childcare, I have a lot of experience.
I have also worked in a school with refugees. I alphabetized students and taught them to speak German, write and do math.
Because of my organized nature, I am also a good fit for housekeeping and I also really like to cook vegetarian and vegan dishes.
I also do charity work at my university with the goal to make the uni more sustainable.
Career-wise, I got my first experience in UX Research and Marketing.

In my free time, I love to read thrillers and self-development books. I like painting and dancing very much. I also spend a lot of time in nature either in the forest or on the coast.
