Hi there!
Thanks so much for taking the time to view our profile. We’re a couple (33 and 30), both raised in England but very much free spirits at heart — happiest when exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning along the way.

Together we’ve travelled to over 35 countries, but for us travel isn’t about ticking destinations off a list. We’re passionate about experiencing real local culture, connecting with communities, and immersing ourselves in nature and wildlife wherever we go. We’re active, outgoing, and always curious — and that’s what brought us to Workaway.

We’re excited to learn new skills, meet inspiring people, and contribute positively to the projects we join. We’re hands-on, open-minded, and adapt quickly to new environments. Between us, we have a wide range of experience including farm work, sports coaching, hospitality, childcare, working with animals, and even helping run adrenaline-based activity events. If you’re looking for two friendly, reliable, hard-working girls who aren’t afraid to get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you!

Why Mexico?
We’re heading to Mexico for a friend’s wedding in San Marcos, and couldn’t pass up the chance to stay longer. We’re excited for the sunshine, incredible food, warm culture, and the opportunity to explore a country that’s new to us both.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We’re both easygoing, adaptable, and always up for getting involved. We like keeping busy, learning new things, and helping out wherever we can. We work well together but are just as comfortable doing our own thing when needed.

Carla

I come from a sporty and project-based background. I’ve got football coaching badges and I work as a referee, which has definitely sharpened my communication, leadership, and people skills. I’ve spent a lot of time working with kids and young people, so patience, creativity, and thinking on my feet are second nature now.

I’ve also worked at resorts in New Zealand and Canada — everything from hospitality and customer service to cleaning and general behind-the-scenes jobs. I like being organised and I genuinely enjoy helping people have a great experience.

I’ve always thrown myself into community projects too, whether that’s gardening, painting, tidying local spaces, walking dogs at a sanctuary, or helping out at fundraisers. Most recently, I spent time in Australia as an outdoor educator, which boosted my navigation skills and gave me experience leading water and land activities.

Lauren

I’ve got a pretty mixed background, but the common theme is that I love being hands-on and around people. I’ve worked in event management where I looked after activities, staff, and making sure everything ran smoothly. I’ve also done all sorts of hospitality roles — from bar work to fine dining — so I’m used to fast-paced environments and keeping guests happy.

I’ve volunteered at animal sanctuaries (my favourite kind of volunteering!) and I’m always happy to get involved in practical tasks or learn something new. One thing people always tell me is that I go above and beyond with the little details — whether it’s capturing memories on camera or helping someone out if I spot they need a hand. I just like making people feel looked after.

Travelling has definitely shaped me too. It’s taught me how to problem-solve, stay calm, and communicate with pretty much anyone. I love staying active, eating well, and trying new activities — so anything outdoorsy or physical is right up my street.

We’re friendly, reliable, and genuinely keen to help out wherever we’re needed. We love meeting new people, learning from others, and hopefully leaving a positive impression wherever we go.

We're looking for opportunities which provide accommodation together. We're not precious about the type of accommodation - if it's a tent it's an experience! We're also pretty flexible with the dates.. if it's the right fit we're happy to stay longer!
