Actuellement, nous sommes

Description

Hello! We are Japanese couple, Kumiko and Naoya.
We love to travel around the world and really want to know and feel the culture, people, food, music....
The reason why we try to do Workaway is that we’d like to have an opportunity to get in touch with the local people in different culture.
We are cheerful, sociable, positive, and diligent (but early- retired to see you !) couple.
We speak Japanese, English and a little Spanish. We are studying Spanish : )
We will do our best for helping you, and hopefully could make cultural exchanges with your family.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Kumiko
I worked as a social worker for 20 years. I helped the family who have difficult problems with parent and child. I like communicating and helping people. I also worked at a shelter for children for 5years. I look after them, taught them, play with them. I love children so I enjoyed that job.
I also worked in Rwanda for 2 years. I worked at a shelter for street children. I enjoyed and learned a lot.

Naoya
I have been working as the high school teacher of science in Japan for more than twenty years. And I have taught science and social studies at Japanese school in Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. I also have taught the methods of science education at the teacher training college in Zambia. My major subject is biology, so I love nature and I'm really interested in ecology, ethology and agriculture.

In Japan or Mexico we had the small vegetable farm and made hand-made foods like MISO and NATTO (fermented Japanese foods) etc. We would like to know about the way of life and farming in foreign countries. If we can help your sustainable life with our skills and knowledges, we would be so happy.
