Hi there,

I'm a middle school teacher who loves to meet new people and see new places. I'm positive, kind, and like to learn new things. When it comes to the field of gardening and farming, I'm not that knowledgeable, but what I lack in experience, I make up for in enthusiasm. I'm handy, creative, and eager to learn.

Canada has always been one of my dream destinations, so in July, I'm finally going there, and I'm planning to stay the month. I'm therefore looking for my first Workaway experience where I can learn more about gardening, renovation, building, landscaping, animal care, and all other things related to running a farm. I really want to learn about the Canadian culture and develop my English language skills. I would love to share my own culture and language if anyone's interested.

I enjoy being outdoors and going for a hike or a run in the forest. Reading a thrilling book while sipping on a cup of tea is one of the best ways to wind down. I like to cook, share meals together with others, and have deep conversations.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Although, I'm not that experienced in renovating homes, I have painted a few walls in my life. I've also given new life to old furniture and, when I was still in high school, I built my own kitchen table and bed. At my home, there are a lot of plants that I like to care for (repotting, take cuttings). I like to work with my hands so I'm eager to get my hands dirty and help you out.

I love pottery, especially throwing objects like pots, mugs, vases and bowls. I have, just recently, discovered the fun in crocheting and knitting.

I have a dream that one day, my sister and I, will buy a summer cottage where we can create a sustainable, self-sufficient garden. Since I've always lived in the city, I long for a quiet place where I can be close to nature and disconnect from the rest of the world. And I'm hoping that through Workaway, I'll will get more experience and thereby, get one step closer to my dream.
