Hi! I’m currently traveling through the Balkans on a one-year backpacking trip. Due to an unexpected tragedy in my girlfriend’s family, she’s had to return home for a month, so I’m taking this time to slow down, connect more deeply with local people and culture, and hopefully contribute through my first Workaway experience.

I’m originally from the U.S., and about ten years ago I lived on a small farm where my main role was caring for the animals—something I absolutely loved. I’m a big animal person, especially when it comes to dogs.

Professionally, I’ve spent most of my career supporting people in recovery from addiction and alcoholism. I’ve been sober for over 9 years myself, and have worked in treatment centers and housing programs for people experiencing homelessness in California. I have strong people skills, a lot of experience in case management, and I value patience, compassion, and community.

I’m easygoing, dependable, and open to new experiences—whether that’s helping out around the house, doing outdoor work, caring for animals, or simply sharing stories over a meal. I’m excited to be of service wherever I can and to learn along the way.
