Description

Hi! We are a recent university graduates currently in Costa Rica spending time surfing and slowing down after school. Kennedy studied graphic design and psychology, and she's someone who really enjoys arts and being outdoors. Miguel studied Ecology and loves to go birding and spends a lot of his time surfing.

In our spare time we like to do yoga, adventure around with friends, camp, bake, and spend quiet time drawing or making jewelry. We grew up in the Pacific Northwest, which gave us a deep appreciation for nature, and we now live by the beach in San Francisco with a few close friends.

Kennedy is interested in continuing freelance graphic design and, down the line, pursuing art therapy. Where as Miguel, works in biology and conservation. Both of us are excited to learn from different environments, meet new people, and contribute in meaningful, practical ways. We are easygoing, responsible, and genuinely enjoy being part of a shared routine and helping where needed.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Kennedy has a strong background in mental health intervention and prevention, with extensive experience supporting teenagers, children, and families in a compassionate and holistic way. She has spent years working with kids of all ages, including caring for infants as young as three weeks old, and brings a calm, organized, and nurturing presence to any environment. She is very comfortable with animals, having cared for rabbits, dogs, cats, and horses, and animal husbandry comes naturally to her. With a degree in graphic design, Kennedy offers strong creative and media skills, including marketing support, website design, and visual communication. She is highly adaptable, enjoys hands on work, and has spent a lot of time camping, climbing, and working in rugged outdoor settings. Her training in Search and Rescue has given her solid wilderness skills, situational awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Miguel is studied Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UC Santa Cruz and has a strong background in ecology, conservation, and fieldwork. He has hands on experience in habitat restoration, wildlife monitoring, and environmental research, including work as a seasonal biologist mapping and managing invasive species, restoring estuarine and coastal habitats, and supporting endangered species conservation projects. Miguel has also worked in animal husbandry in a museum setting, caring for reptiles, amphibians, birds of prey, and other animals. He is comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work, scientific data collection, and ecological surveys. His experience as a summer camp lead counselor has also helped him develop strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children and groups.

Together, Kennedy and Miguel are reliable, hardworking, and adaptable helpers who are comfortable balancing people focused care with hands on outdoor, animal, and land based work. They are quick learners, respectful of shared spaces, and genuinely enjoy contributing in meaningful and supportive ways to the places and people they work with.

Really stoked for whatever an opportunity could bring us. We are easy going and honestly just happy to be in a new environment and connect with people. We come with a skillset however even if we don't know something we are quick and enthusiastic learners.
