Hey :)
I’m Kaya, 25 years old, a baker and social worker from Berlin. Soon I’ll start my travels to South America to work and travel for a few months.

After living and working in Mexico for two years, I came back to Berlin to study social work. Earlier this year I realized how much I enjoy working with my hands, so I became a baker, which I really love.

I would describe myself as a social, adventurous and thoughtful person. I enjoy meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds, sharing experiences, creating things together and also exchanging different perspectives is what motivates me to travel and do workaway.
While I love the opportunities and diversity of big cities, I also really value calmer places where I can feel more connected to nature and myself.

Some of the things I enjoy:
- Cooking & baking (I’m happy to share bread or cake recipes!
- Crafty & creative work like drawing or DIY projects
- Sports & movement: football, cycling, hiking, yoga
- Community: I love working in a team, being around people, and also finding quiet moments when needed.

I’m open to learning new skills whether it’s gardening, building, taking care of animals or helping with daily household tasks. I also speak German, English and Spanish fluently.
I’m really looking forward to new experiences, meeting inspiring people and contributing wherever I can!

I lived in Mexiko for two years. There I learned spanish and I love the language, since then I am always looking for people to talk spanish with, so that I don't get out of practice. I learned spanish by speaking it, so my grammar isn´t good enough to teach the language, but I love to speak it. German is my mother tongue, so I guess I could teach it to people who are interested in learning it, but I´m not a german teacher.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a very social person, so i would say connecting with people of all ages and bachrounds isn´t difficult for me. Since almost 10 years I am taking care of children and teenagers in different families. I also worked in a Kindergarden in Mexiko for a year.

Right now I am teaching myself how to do pottery and handle a tattoo machine.

I don´t have any degree in any pracitical tipe of work, but I´m really interested in learning how to build things, like small stuff as bowls, rings, cloth but also big stuff like houses or furniture.
