Hello everybody!
My name is Ruby. I am a 25 years old woman from Denmark who is looking for new adventures!
I am currently based in Canggu, Bali, where I work as a social host in a surf camp. I have been here since mid July, and am planing on staying until the mid of January.
As a social host, I am the face of the camp, and the one making sure everyone is feeling comfortable and having a good time! I am also the one in charge of planing various activities at the camp, around town, booking trips, transport and so on. The camp can host up to 60 guest every week, so I am very used to deal with big groups of people, and feel very comfortable doing so. I meet people from all over the world every day; which is one the my favourite parts of the job.
Before moving to Bali, I worked for a travel agency back home in Denmark, as a travel group leader. I took a group of 20 young people to the Philippines earlier this year for 2 months. Me and my college was in charge of everything a trip like that includes. We also took the group through a course of personal development.
Through workaway I am hoping to meet and connect with new people around the world and hopefully have new and wonderful experiences!
I am an easy and quick learner and are always up for a challenge. I love learning and gaining new knowledge and skills. I am as a person very easy and outgoing, always with a smile on my face and a positive vibe. I care a lot about the people around me, and I am always very attentive to others. I always put all my energy and love into what I do.
I of course love surfing and everything that comes with it. Other than that I love yoga, and I am planing on doing the yoga-teacher-training in the near future. I like being active but also enjoy to just kick back and relax. I love to read a lot, listen to podcasts, long walks in nature, swimming in the ocean and meditating. I also have a thing (read obsession) for green house plants. The people around me say that i have too many plants and that I live in a jungle. But hey, there are always room for another plant - and who doesn't want to live in a jungle ;)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I speak Danish and English.

I have a lot of experience with customer-service through my jobs in retail and as a waiter over 3-4 years. I have always gotten a lot of compliments from both my bosses and customers for being very attentive, sincere and having a good vibe. I love being part of creating amazing, fun and safe experiences for my customers. I am a hard worker and have always been raised to be very dutiful.

I have a passion for plants, and are still learning how to take care of them and make them grow - which is not very easy back in cold and dark Denmark!

I have had animals all my life just from dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, birds etc. etc. I have a deep love for animals, and will go a long way to make sure that they are well and happy. I am always the one to feed stray animals when I travel. I hope to become a veterinary nurse some day.

I have been working at an elderly home for 3 years, where I have been able to use my ability to be very caring and attentive. I put a big honor in helping others and improve their quality of life.

I am hoping to learn and further develop photographing and social media marketing. I photographed a lot when I was younger, and would really love to get back into it! I love to make my instagram look good hehe

I love everything related to administration and managing, and I myself are the one managing and keeping track of things at home and when traveling.
