Description

Hi, myself and my partner Rory have recently been traveling in central and South America and are looking for a workaway in Australia before we continue our work back home in New Zealand mid November. For the past 5 years we have both worked in conservation and are used to hard physical work. Our day to day tasks include pest control (trapping rats,feral cats,stoats), native plant nursery work, monitoring wildlife, tree planting and track cutting (with chainsaws and heavy duty weedeaters). We live on an off-grid island (Aotea/Great Barrier Island) and are keen gardeners with a specific interest in fruit trees and agroforestry/food forest style gardening . We are available at a few days notice and have our own transport.
