When I’m creative, it feels I’m in my nature (.. painting, drawing, sculpturing, pottery..). Beside that, I love nature and animals, mental and body health, which goes together with meditation.

Dear Hosts,

my name is Karla, I am 35 years old and originally from Berlin, Germany. For about ten years I worked as an occupational therapist and for the last two years also as an art therapist.

Through this work I gained a lot of experience in health and social care, always combined with creativity.

After spending many years in this field, I felt it was time for a change and for new perspectives. For almost a year now I have been traveling and doing different volunteer projects, which has been a wonderful way to explore new places, spend time in nature, meet inspiring people and experience different cultures and ways of life and gaining new skills. I truly enjoy learning new skills and stepping into areas I have not worked in before.

I would describe myself as a creative, calm and open-minded person. I am warm-hearted, respectful and curious about people and their stories. I really enjoy learning, trying new things and contributing wherever I can.

I have some experience with gardening and working outdoors and would love to deepen my knowledge in this area.
At the same time, creativity and art is a very important part of my life. I enjoy painting, drawing and sculpting, and over the past few years my interest in ceramics has grown a lot. I would be very happy to learn more about working with clay and to support you in the garden, in the workshop, or with creative ideas if helpful.

For me it would be a wonderful opportunity to live with you for a while, get to know your way of life, culture and traditions, and contribute to your project.

I'm imaginative, creative/artsy and my friends say I got a good taste in things. I know the basics of Woodwork and some other handswork. I'm very willing to learn. I have two hands and know how to use them.

I want to travel through Asia for at least half a year. I'll start in Sri Lanka, then Myanmar and Nepal. Further I will see where the wind takes me.
