My name is Karin, I‘m 46 and live in a rural area where I enjoy outdoor activities.

I'm spending this summer (may to June) travelling before going back to work in July.
My interests and skills include music, walking, swimming and biking.
I have an interest in gardening and farming, but I don't have much experience or knowledge of this - but I'd love to learn :)

I am a medical technical assistant. I have been a painter since 2017. We live in an old house from 1956. I renovated it. Now we want to redesign the garden. I have little experience with growing vegetables. I would like to gain experience in vegetable cultivation.

I would like to improve my English (prepositions are very difficult for me and Google transater is my best friend). In my life I have always had the opportunity to talk to Americans. In recent years I have been speaking a lot of English with foreigners who have learned English as a foreign language.

We work a lot with refugees in the church. Most come from Iran and Ukraine. This way I get to know other cultures. For example, we play music together. For the church service. Sometimes in different languages.

I would like to get to know people on my vacation and work with them on their project. In return, I not only have the opportunity to learn new things, but also to learn a new perspective.


I am a workawayer since November 2023, my first host has been in northern Germany in February 2024. I took care of some farm animals while the owners has been on vacation.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I like working in crafts. I am familiar with painting, plastering walls.
I have a bit of experience with farm animals. A friend of mine used to have ponies and goats. I worked there from time to time.
I like working outside in the garden.
I love music. I play guitar and some piano (important for Irish hosts: I play a little Irish bouzouki and bodhran. If I can meet Irish musicans I would be sooo happy).
