Hello, my name is Julie (:

I'm a journalism student from Brussels, Belgium, with a big heart for traveling and discovering and finding stories everywhere. I love Workaway because it gives the opportunity for genuine international connection. Last year I took a gap year between my history bachelors and journalism masters and I Workawayed in Italy on self-sufficient farms. These experiences were priceless and taught me much about sustainable farming. I also learned to value more living in community style and now think this is really the way to go.

This year I'm studying again, but when I can I want to work outside in beautiful places.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Here's a list of things I think of right now:

- Gardening: weeding, harvesting, ... I did two grape harvests (France and Italy), the orange harvest, and have worked at an organic berry farm.
- Reception of clients (I worked at the ticket entrance of the Red Star Line Museum in Antwerp)
- Cleaning (:
- Cooking (vegetarian or vegan)
- Herbal knowledge and some knowledge of wild foraging. I have a degree from a herbalist course, but the learning never ends.
- I could help with audio/video projects and editing. I learn this in my journalism studies.
- Painting walls
- (Historical) research
