Dear Hosts,
Nice to meet you ! We are Jules & Max, we are a multicultural couple. Max is from France and Jules is from the West Coast of the USA.
Jules (28F) has been teaching Yoga for 10 years, and spent the past decade traveling the world learning different healing techniques to help empower people and feel happy with their bodies and lives. She also has a love for hospitality, and connecting with people thru food and drinks. She is an avid home cook and would love to learn how to make your cultural dishes and share the ones she learned. During covid she made a living selling homemade cheese and vegan fudge and is happy to make some for you as well.
Max (29M) is a Mixologist who's, after a short career in Digital Marketing, been growing his craft for the last 5 years between Asia and France and now USA. He is in love with making the perfect cocktail, always striving to learn about new foods and flavors to help inspire the next new taste.
We met while living and Travelling in Asia for the last 4 years. We fell in love, one of the many reasons being our shared desire for adventures in unknown territory and the discovery of new cultures. We are always looking for new experiences, like finding hidden gems, eating new good food or good drinks, exploring nature, and meeting new people from all over the world.
Our favorite kind of adventure is to mix and melt with the locals and feel useful! In Asia, we have worked with several venues (Bars, Hotels, Restaurants, etc...) helping improve their business through ambiance, menu creation, and design, as well as marketing. We have experience in varying environments from working in small family-owned businesses to High Volume Restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip
After working the last 4 years in Asia, we decided to leave to take our talents elsewhere ;)
We are currently living in the mountains of Washington USA, working, bartending, and living the VanLife and now Costa Rica is calling upon us!
It will be both our first experience in Central America and using work away and we are so excited to discover this new culture and new environment.
