Description
Hey we are Jule and Kuba!
We are spending a year in New Zealand and are looking forward to discovering new things. We both have experience and skills in a wirde range (see more below). We want to deepen our knowledge and skills, but also experience new things. Back in Germany, we want to take over an old farm, so we want to use our tip in New Zealand to gain experience. We are also interested in house-sitting or hostel jobs.
We are open, friendly, and always up for a fun evening or excursions. We also enjoy hiking, camping and playing cards/ games. We don't want anyone to be felt left out or talked about, so we make sure to speak English even with each other.
Hard facts:
•Both: Class C/CE = truck+trailor driver's license, SKT-A (climbing), ASB-I (chainsaw); Working outdoors, consulting & sales, climbing, interest in animals and farms, hostels/bars
•Kuba: Social worker/social educator, experiential educator, arborist & species conservation
•Jule: Funeral director, social scientist, arborist & species conservation -

Tree care
• Climbing trees ASB I
• Working safely at heights
• Teamwork
• Sense of responsibility
• Assessing personal and physical limits
• Basic ecological knowledge of tree care and species protection with various training courses
• Handling machines such as Unimog, Steiger with class C CE driver's license, wheel loader, shredder, and chainsaw
We currently work in tree care and love the combination of physical work, nature, and team spirit. This includes climbing trees, performing maintenance pruning, and safely operating machines. This work requires concentration, trust, and good communication within the team. At the same time, it is important to treat nature with sensitivity and observe species protection regulations. For us, this work means protecting trees and not felling them unnecessarily.
Music-Festival
We lately worked 2 weeks at a music-festival building up the festivalground and therefore driving a truck. During the festival and during the buildup Kuba had a leading positing in organization. Jule did upcoming tasks during the buildup and some bartendering at the festival. During this time we slept in our Van.
Animals
We love to be around animals! We both love cats and dogs. And also already took care of some farm animals like ducks and horses. We would love to deepen our knowledge with animal!

- Sales and customer contact at Christmas markets, seasonal 3 years
• Customer service
• Organization and preparation
• Creativity and decoration
• Resilience
• Improvisation and problem solving
• Sense of responsibility in a family business
I worked at Christmas markets for several seasons in our family business. I prepared, set up, and decorated sales stands and adapted them to new situations every day. I particularly enjoyed interacting with people. I enjoyed explaining what Fairtrade means, how the products were made, and what makes high-quality wool products so special. These conversations were important to me because I was convinced of the quality of our products and loved sharing my knowledge. The long working days, cold weather, and diversity of the markets made me patient, flexible, and creative.
- funeral director, 5 years full time
• Empathy
• Professional empathy
• Calm and respectful demeanor
• Dealing with emotionally stressful situations
• Organization and planning
• Design and media skills
• Confidence in dealing with the deceased
• Handling official processes
• Funeral speeches
My training at a funeral home had a profound impact on me. I learned to accompany people in very personal moments while working in a structured and respectful manner. This included caring for the deceased, even in difficult situations such as accident victims, late discoveries, children or young people, as well as providing sensitive support to relatives. I organized and designed funeral services, developed announcements and cards, and guided families through many decisions. Contact and communication with authorities is an essential part of everyday work. This work has strengthened my professional empathy and sense of responsibility. At the same time, I learned how to deal with exceptional situations.
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, 3 years study
• Academic writing
• Structured research
• Psychological and sociological analysis
• Conducting and evaluating qualitative interviews
• Independent work
• Understanding of motivation, commitment, and social processes
I successfully studied social sciences and dealt with both psychological and sociological perspectives. In my bachelor's thesis, I examined what motivates young people to get involved in environmental protection. To do this, I worked theoretically, first considering motivation as a psychological variable and then classifying it into various sociological theories. I conducted interviews with participants in an environmental project, analyzed current figures and developments in the field of engagement, and combined these results with the theoretical foundations. This work showed me how closely personal values, social structures, and individual experiences are linked and how important a good scientific approach is for a deep understanding of these connections.
