We are Jonathan & Eline,
37 and 32years old, and let’s not forget our 5 year old dog Brida.

update: January 2026, as you will read below we are living 'this lifestyle' for 3 years now. We still travel but most of the time we like to stay at a place for longterm that also provides some accomodation so we really can fully be there and feel at home. We would like to find a matching opportunitie(s) this spring and summer that help us to raise our budget.

After we've quit our jobs in May 2023 we've renovated our old-timer campervan (an mercedes MB100 from 92'), since the end of june 2023 we live as nomads and home is wherever we are. The intention is to live more free, learn about the true basics of life and nature and be inspired by the lives of others. We travel and look for different kinds of places to stay and make it our home for some time, to learn, to connect with people or work for a while.

We both love being in nature and outdoors. Exploring, working, creating, learning, discovering, become peacefully silent. And this very simple but all-encompassing feeling is what has driven us to decide that we want to stop the way we where living and follow that feeling. We choose to be open to all kinds of work that has a connection with nature and humanity because while discovering another country and way of living we also want to learn more. It’s not just a holiday or a flight from our current situation. It goes beyond that, we want to discover more about ourselves and the way we (want to) live our lives. We want to actively form this lifetime and not just let time and our dreams pass by in the comfort of everyday life, the life that we are accustomed and where used to.

Brida is a mix border colli/labrador. And to be honest, she’s the apple of our eye. We have put a lot of work in training her so we could bring her everywhere. By now she's really used to being around other people and animals. Its become a part of her life to be social 🙂

In 2022 we got married after being together for five years. We were living in the same city but we actually met on a mountaintop in Austria where we fell in love amidst nature and mountains. Jonathan is an energetic force of nature. He loves all kinds of sports and exploring the world. His love for adventure brought him to Kanchenjunga Nepal trekking for several months. We loved discovering our own country. We went hiking and wildcamping a lot in the ‘Ardennes’, an area in Belgium close to France and Luxembourg. Austria is the country where we have travelled to the most, we love the mountains, hiking, the hüttes, klettersteigen and so much more. Where Jonathan is an energetic and outgoing person Eline is a bit more calm, but only a bit. She also loves being in nature in all its forms. Hiking, running, swimming in an ice cold lake, camping or just reading a book or painting. We both have been working in the social sector till May 2023. Jonathan worked for an organisation that works with youngsters and young adults, there he gave workshops and trainings about self-empowerment and resilience. Using methods including sports, breathwork and therapy. Eline worked as a social worker in a psychiatric hospital.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

A lot of skills are formed in these formal lives we had;
Jonathan; sport teacher, life guard, ski teacher, groupleader, positive reorientation in family situations, rock and water trainings, coaching individuals,
Worked as a waiter for several years in a good restaurant, this as a extra job in the weekends.
doing sports like; running, climbing, mountainbike, football, yoga,...

Jonathan has been rebuilding our 33year old mobilehome from floor till the full inside of the camper.

Eline; bookshopkeeper, social worker, worked in a coffeebar, working with people with psychiatric illness, Yin yoga teacher, Expertise in outdoor and mountaingear. Great in cooking and making healthy stuff with what nature provide. Drawing, painting and learning the accordeon ☺️

Except for travelling our new life experiences through workaway or Wwoof since 2023 are;

We have been working and living in a off grid farm in the north of Norway for 6 weeks, also for a week in the south of Norway. We worked with chickens, a lot of permaculture, fishing, taking care of the forrest.
We lived 5weeks alone in the mountains of Sweden in very remote cabin during wintertime -25.

We have been working and living in a off grid place in Austria. (february till May 2024) Working a lot with flowers and herbs (Eline), chickens, chainsaw/woodwork, carpentry (making a gate) and renovating an old barn into a new house... Spending an interesting time with the people there. We also worked for a week at a sheepfarm in Austria.

Summerseason 2024 June, july and august we had a paid job at a bar in a beautifull camping in Slovenia, preparing and serving fresh made food and drinks.

Since end of december till March 2025 we took care of a small farm in the south of Austria. There are goats, sheeps, 2 donkeys and chickens. We also took care of the threes, cutting wood and repairing fences.

In June 2025 we got 'stranded' in Denmark with camperproblems, but we got to meet a nice couple where we could stay the whole month 😅

In summer 2025 we spend time with a family in Czech Republic, permaculture and DIY projects. After the summer we renovated an old circuswagen at the place with our friends in Austria to have a alternative homebase. (see pictures)

We took care of some scottish high land cows at a farm in Austria, with special care for the little Maxi❤️

Winter 25/26 we take care again of the farm in south Austria.
