Description

Hey everyone, we are Ilia (21) and Jonas (27) from Germany and we are looking forward to our next adventure! We are a couple and study English as well as Italian Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies at TU Dresden.

Both of us are incredibly cheerful, lively and active people who share a passion for languages and diverse cultures as well as for a whole lot of sports such as cycling, pilates, tennis, beach volleyball, football and cricket. Ilia loves to sing and plays both the violin and the piano. Jonas is more of a reader than a musician. We are united in our love for food and cooking and are always on the look out for new flavours and dishes and would love to experience other cuisines while sharing ours with you.

But most of all we would love to make new acquaintances, learn from them, share stories and perspectives and who knows, maybe even become friends!

At the moment, we are looking forward to a stay in Ireland between mid February and early April 2027 and we can't wait for it!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Due to our studies we speak excellent German, English and Italian and are happy to share our knowledge about these languages with you.

In the past, we have both participated separately in an educational program where Jonas tutored a 10 year old boy from Tajikistan while Ilia tutored a 15 year old German girl. Apart from that, Ilia babysits two young girls (6 and 10 years of age) once a month for approximately three to four hours.

Both of us have worked at the university in the past and are currently working there again. Both of us are now program coordinators. Furthermore, both of us are actively engaged in student politics and have been so for the past years.

We also have, for a total of six weeks, done a Workaway in southern Italy where we worked in agriculture on a small biological farm. Amongst other works, we did planting, weeding and harvesting of fruit and vegetables.

Also at home, Jonas is an avid gardener though only as his balcony. Unfortunately, we do not have our own garden in the city.
