Hi, you! Thank you for taking your time and looking at my profile :)
I did my best to try and capture at least a little what makes me me. Obviously photos and a text can only to a certain extent show who I am but I hope you at least get an idea. And who knows: maybe we‘ll get to know each other in person sometime soon!

My name is Johanna, I am 18 years old and from Germany. I graduated last year - and after travelling through Europe with some good friends last summer and doing an internship afterwards, I am now looking forward to everything I'll experience here in New Zealand!

My exchange year in Canada in 2021 made me realise even more how much I like getting to know places and people and how great it is having the chance of doing so. It was clear for me from that time on that I want to see and experience a bit more of the world before starting university. I am aware that it might be challenging at times to travel all by myself but although I had a wonderful time in Canada it also showed me that I am able to handle difficult situations and that I like being by myself as well.

I want to see the beautiful landscapes I‘ve heard about, get to know more about New Zealand’s culture and history, meet other people and immerse a little into their world. I want to try new food, new things and new lifestyles while travelling on my own, not always knowing what is going to happen next and yet feeling comfortable with it.
I am a very reliable, curious and flexible person who is interested in and enjoys a lot of things so I am excited and thankful for being able to do this huge trip. Hopefully I will be getting to know a lot of nice people - young, old, quirky, calm, adventurous, deliberate,… I am open-minded and am looking forward to getting involved with various ways of living and with different kinds of situations and people!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I enjoy cooking and baking. I‘m good with children, people in general and in taking care of animals and my surroundings (cleaning up can be very therapeutic to me if I for example listen to music while doing so). I like gardening and being outside a lot and I‘ve also been playing soccer for 9 years. I am patient, empathetic and also an attentive person so even if I am not familiar with some tasks that you give me - be sure that I am going to do my best to carry them out and expand my knowledge! :)
