I'm Jens

I'm in Scandinavia, a resident of Denmark and a UK citizen. 55 years of age.

In recent years, I've been volunteering and house sitting in Denmark and Sweden including seasonal work on the island of Bornholm. I'm also involved with digital projects. Hosts have invited me back to House Sit and Volunteer for which I'm ever grateful.


House Sitting
Involved care for dogs, cats and chickens with gardening and cleaning as needed. I'm glad to write it's been a great pleasure. I treat other people's homes with care and their animals with love and, I take my responsibilities seriously.
In March and April 2025, I was house sitting during building work on a property while the owners were away.


Voluntary Work
Included painting interiors and exteriors, gardening, cleaning, small repairs, heavy manual work, assisting cooks, AirBnB, animal care, social media help

A mix of company, working together and private time and solitary work is good for me. People tell me I have an easy going, respectful attitude and I get things done.

I'm also glad to learn new things and to share. Life, I believe, is about learning and loving in the ways presented to us. A good conversation is always welcome and so is a walk, meal, movie or meditation together.


Health & Wellness
Thankfully, my health is good. I eat a vegetarian diet, exercise and indulge in a love for nature, people and places around me. Meditation is a wonderful part of my life and I also enjoy my private time.


Profession & Education
My profession in the UK involved helping people recover from drug and alcohol addiction and its related issues.
Fluent in English. Basic in Danish and Swedish
