Description

My name is Jeanne. I am French and I am 21 years old. After completing three years of real estate study in Paris, I went to live in Togo, in West Africa for 1 year (September 2022 - August 2023). There, I volunteered in an after-school center run by sisters. Every afternoon we welcomed underprivileged middle school students to help them with their homework, to do French lessons, and to lead fun times. My mission was also to organize evenings for high school students and students (games, debates, films, general culture, etc.). After having experienced this incredible year, and before continuing my studies in September 2024, I am preparing to go abroad again. I would like to take advantage of this year to significantly improve my English around projects that are meaningful to me. I love everything to do with housing, education, communication, helping the poorest. I also really aspire to learn about nature, agriculture and cooking. I have a decent level of English but I will have to improve at the end of the year because I will be in London in November and December.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My experiences :

> I worked in real estate agencies: this taught me customer relations, to listen well and understand the needs of my interlocutors, to negotiate, to advertise, etc.
> Volunteering during my studies: marauding, visiting elderly people, sport with refugees. As responsible for visits to elderly people, I had to organize meetings, attract new volunteers…
> international solidarity volunteering in Togo: Academic support, French lessons and organization of fun activities for middle school students.

Know-how :

> Communicate for events (Canva, etc.)

> Organize activities (theatre, games, etc.)
> Organize times of sharing and prayer.
> Transverse flute (practice in conservatory for 11 years)

I really like education and pedagogy (for example: learning to learn), psychology and communication (non-violent communication). I am also becoming more and more interested in cooking and agriculture.
My grandparents having a vegetable garden, I began to learn various things thanks to them. I hope to become a great cook and botanist one day!
