Description

Hi we are Janina (31) and Sebastian (35),
we live in Cologne (Germany), where we both teach at different schools. Sebastian teaches German and economics in business school whereas Janina teaches German maths, arts, music and Englisch to small children in primary school. We are both open minded and love being around different kinds of people. I imagine this as a bonus in our line of work ;).
Since Janina caught her travel bug in 2014 during a one year journey to Australia, Sebastian got infected with this travel bug right after we met. Since then, we love travelling to different places all around Europe together like Scotland, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Norway and Iceland.
We love to be outdoors and enjoy hiking and skiing a lot. In his freetime Sebastian likes to go for a ride with his gravel bike or to the gym. Janina likes to do Yoga and is always up for sharing and exchanging recipies with other people as she loves to cook. We both enjoy being around animals, especially dogs. Also Janina has done horseback riding as long as she can think and can't imagine a life without it.

In summer 2026 we will get married and start a new adventure together: 6 month of travelling the world together - a sabbatical honeymoon before we return to Germany to continue our work as teachers.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As I studied to become a teacher for primary school I gained a lot of experience in working with children an also teaching German, maths and English to youngsters during multiple internships and my work at different kind of schools.

Also I have worked a lot in hospitality and gained experience as a waitress and barmaid during different kinds of jobs ranging from restaurants to a a hotel motel and pub. Adding to those hospitality skills I would say I learned a lot about dealing with customers in general and about sharing stories ;)

As I grew up with a dog and have started horseback riding at an early age I know how to communicate with aniinals and understand subtle signs of their behavior. I am a skilled rider (I have mainly done showjumping and dressage (english riding) at home). Also I worked on a horse farm in Canada in Canadian winter for a couple of month, so I'm not afraid of farm duties and cold weather ;)





Durch meine Ausbildung zur Lehrerin habe ich durch Praktika und die Arbeit in der Schule viel Erfahrung im Umgang mit Kindern gesammelt und gebe mein Wissen gerne weiter.

Außerdem habe ich sowohl in Deutschland als auch in Australien als Kellnerin, in einer Bar und einem Hotel gearbeitet. Grundkenntnisse der Gastronomie sind also vorhanden und ich habe viel Erfahrung im Teilen von Geschichten und Erlebnissen gesammelt ;)

Da ich mit einem Hund aufgewachsen bin und schon von Kindheitsbeinen an das Reiten gelernt habe, kann ich gut mit Tieren umgehen und ihr Verhalten deuten. Ich bin eine gute Reiterin und sicher im Umgang mit Pferden. Außerdem habe ich auf einer kanadischen Farm einige Monate im Winter gearbeitet, weshalb ich wirklich keine Angst vor schlechtem, kalten Wetter habe und auch nicht fürchte, mir die Hände dreckig zu machen ;)
