Hello! I’m Jana — a multilingual, adventurous soul born in Slovakia and living in Portugal whilst exploring the world. I love travelling, genuine connection, learning, and living life with joy and curiosity, enjoying simple things and dreaming big at the same time. Over the years I’ve worked in a wide range of roles — from stewardess for Emirates, HR and technical support role, language tutoring and building an online business — each experience has deepened my curiosity about ways of life and my potential.

I speak Slovak, Czech, English, Spanish, and Portuguese fluently, which makes me feel at home in many parts of the world. I’m adaptable, creative, and genuinely enjoy contributing wherever I go — whether it’s teaching, organizing, helping with hospitality, or getting involved in projects.

What motivates me
I’m inspired by meaningful connections, cultural exchange, and the feeling of making a positive impact in a place — even in small ways. I believe every exchange is an opportunity for growth, kindness, and shared experiences. I think Europe is so very beautiful and since last year, I have a dream to explore more of Balkans and even learn the language if possible. We used to come every year for holidays with my family to Croatia when I was a teenager and after I revisited it last year after almost 20 years, I instantly fell in love with it again and got the urge to explore this part of Europe!

What brings me happiness
Simple joys: nice conversations and food, music, dance, creating, nature walks and beauty around, swimming in the sea and sun, learning new skills and crafts, spending time with people I like at places that inspire me in any way. I’m happiest when I feel Im living with purpose, learning and being present and when what Im doing supports something bigger.

I’m looking for an experience, since I am on my sabbatical year, where I can contribute with my skills and knowledge, share my enthusiasm, and also immerse myself in a different rhythm of life being more offline and practicing some manual skills and spending more time in nature. Learning a new language, while making new valuable connections would be a great plus too!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I bring a wide range of skills and experiences gathered from living, studying, and working in different countries and cultures. My background is diverse: I hold a law degree, have worked in Human Resources, provided basic support in IT role, and spent two and a half years as cabin crew with Emirates, which taught me adaptability, teamwork, and excellent communication.

I’m fluent in Slovak, Czech, English, Spanish and Portuguese, and I enjoy helping others learn and practice languages. Teaching and sharing knowledge in creative, practical ways is one of my passions.

I have experience in customer service, hospitality, and travel, which makes me comfortable interacting with people from all walks of life. Beyond professional skills, I bring reliability, responsibility, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

I’m resourceful and hands-on: I don’t mind helping with household tasks, gardening, basic DIY, organizing, or animal care. I enjoy creating warm, welcoming spaces and contributing to community life.

Above all, I’m a fast learner, adaptable, and curious. I enjoy connecting with people, sharing experiences and bringing both lightness and dedication to the projects I support.
