Hello! My name is Jake, I'm 28 years old and from the UK (based in Cornwall). I am a fully qualified Yoga Teach (200 hour YTT). I learnt my trade in Rishikesh, India, the home of Yoga! I have experience teaching in the UK and abroad like Sri Lanka.

I am looking for teaching opportunities by the ocean. Alongside yoga I am an extremely passionate surfer and am also a fully qualified level 1 ISA Surf Instructor. In the UK I also instruct other watersports such as coasteering.

When travelling, I love exploring new places and improving myself. I am an extremely outgoing individual with a huge passion for life and the outdoors. I feel connected to Planet Earth! I want to embrace new places and meet new people from different walks of life. I am in the process of learning Spanish and will soon be a fully qualified level 1 TEFL English Teacher. So, if anyone would like to trade language opportunities then that would be brilliant.

As an extremely social character, I thrive in social situations where I can make new friends and learn from others. I like my own time to surf and do other activities but am no stranger to having an awesome night with old or new friends! I am excited to become part of a great team to help the business and make amazing memories in and beside the waves, on and off the mats!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a fully qualified Surf Instructor and hold a Level 1 ISA so I am qualified to instruct surfing anywhere in the world. I have experience of teaching many different customers in the UK. I am also a fully qualified Lifesaver in the UK. This just shows that I have a good knowledge of surfing, the ocean and am physically able!

I am a fully qualified Yoga Teacher (200 Hours YTT) and will soon be a Level 3 TEFL Teacher.

I also have lots of work experience in office based roles where I have been an Employment Advisor and Caseworker for public service providers. I was able to achieve this after receiving a First Class Honours Degree as a Bachelor of Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University. Therefore, I am very good digitally and have excellent writing skills!

Alongside my education and work I have always worked in restaurants, bars and in retail shops so I have lots of experience in dealing with customers face to face and being able to talk to anybody from any background!

I will be mainly living along the coast and would absolutely love to help out any hostels/businesses that encourage surfing and yoga. I am an extremely hard worker and will always ensure I do the best possible job that I can.
