Description
Bonjour! I'm Jake a 30-year old photographer and filmmaker. I am a sociable, creative and respectful individual who loves to meet people and enjoy new experiences.
Learning French is my passion - it's a lifelong dream of mine to speak it fluently. I've casually learnt it for a long time and it improved greatly during 2-months of volunteering in Burkina Faso where I spoke it every day a few years ago. Two years ago I was an au pair near Bordeaux for two months and it was an incredible experience!
I love the outdoors. While in New Zealand I kayaked, paddle boarded, surfed, hiked, ran and rafted. It was the best time! I've grown up going on lots of walks around England with my family so it's something I've always enjoyed. I'm also a very keen tennis player and love taking part in sports.
I studied English Literature at university and love to read. I also love music and learnt Piano for 10 years! One of my favourite tunes to play is Clare de Lune by Debussy.
My favourite job has to have been working for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales as a photographer and videographer!

I am a native English speaker who would love to become fluent in French. I've learnt the language casually for several years and had the opportunity to speak it everyday while volunteering in Burkina Faso.I am studying it myself but would love to be able to speak it on a daily basis during my trip to France.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I'm a native English speaker who has studied English Literature at university. I'm very flexible and interested in learning new skills!
I've grown up exploring the outdoors and enjoying nature, so would be very capable of helping out with tasks in the garden, house maintenance, DIY or animal care - I love both dogs and cats.
I've always cooked healthy food for myself, so I'll be able to help in this area too. I've got experience helping out with children as well through the Scouts and through volunteering at a primary school.
I'm proficient with computers and have lots of digital skills, so can provide assistance in that way if needed! However, I'm hoping my French experience will be a chance to get away from computers!
