Hello, I'm Johanna, 54 years old, live in Leipzig, have a 30-year-old daughter and have been working as a freelance graphic designer and interior designer for 20 years. In the last two years I have been to England and Ireland several times as a Workaway, on holiday or visiting friends. I've always really enjoyed this time and love getting to know the country and its people better and better. With my laptop, a few pens and the internet I can work very well from anywhere.

Now that the child is out of the house, I want to get to know other places and lifestyles, have new experiences and perhaps find new favourite places. I'm not a professional, but I'm a passionate gardener with my own garden and a green thumb. In my childhood I spent a lot of time on my grandparents' farm and enjoyed looking after the animals.

As a workaway, I have looked after dogs and cats, as well as 30 chickens, geese and a duck. I've helped with renovations, housework and gardening.

In addition to my work, which is also my great passion, I love music, from classical to jazz to rock, theatre and cinema, and I enjoy reading. People also say I'm a pretty good cook.
I support regional environmental projects in the area of public relations and social projects, where I work with children and young people in creative workshops during the summer holidays.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a total of four completed professions. I started with an apprenticeship as a men's tailor in the theatre, with the aim of studying costume design. Later I did an apprenticeship as a decorator and studied interior design at the art academy (5 years - sounds a lot, but it's the standard period of study) and a two-year postgraduate course in graphic design.

During my studies I worked in various jobs. Childcare ... not just mine ..., teaching, sales, harvesting jobs etc.

Through my studies and my passion for interior design I have a craft talent and knowledge.

I create concepts for marketing and public relations and am also entrusted with their implementation.
I have very good computer and internet skills.

For several years I conducted and also taught creative workshops with children and young people.

The many years on my grandparents' farm were a good school in caring for animals (from pigs to sheep and rabbits to chickens) and managing a small farm (weeding, planting, harvesting).
