Hello,
I am here at Workaway with an open mind and willingness to learn more about the world.
At the moment I am working on a Care Farm in the UK. A safe space where people struggling with mental health conditions come and help around the farm. I am passionate about the therapeutic benefits of working outside, helping others, nurturing animals and growing food.
My previous Workaway experiences have mainly been helping at rural small holdings and off grid places where I have been learning about permaculture, DIY, sustainable living and everything about the great outdoors. My drive at the moment is to continue learning and meeting like minded people and one day have a small piece of permaculture heaven to call my own.
Also, I volunteered at a Meditation centre which was an amazing experience, developing mindfulness skills. When I was there I helped cooking for the community and cleaning the guest rooms. And recently I have been involved with a couple of charities volunteering and helping homeless people.
A few years ago I lived off grid for over a year by myself. I'm always interested in listening to different people and hearing about the way they do things.
I'm very happy to cook, clean and everything in-between. I love to be in the garden and I am experienced looking after animals. Motivated to take on any job no matter how big or small. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and get stuck in. At the moment I am especially passionate and interested in sustainable living, off grid spaces, permaculture, foraging and eco building.
When I'm not working and volunteering you'll find me learning and practicing holistic therapies, Reiki, meditation, martial arts, music and hiking.

and the never to be forgotten day of removing pallets from the car when the boot wouldn't open....
she was easy to have around and alot of help,
