Hi! I'm Isabel – an adventurous, open-minded and joyful person from the Netherlands, excited to make my dreams come true.

I just graduated with my VWO diploma and decided to take a gap year before starting my pilot training at KLM next year. During this time, I want to explore the world, meet inspiring people, experience different cultures, and learn as much as I can – especially in Italy, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam).

I’m very social, positive and always ready to help. I’m not afraid of hard work, I love to stay active and I truly enjoy being around people. I’ve worked in restaurants, taken care of children as a nanny, and I’m often surrounded by family, friends, or my sweet dachshund, Cooper.

Some of my passions include playing the clarinet, fashion, reading, learning new languages, and even skydiving! I speak Dutch (native), fluent English (Advanced Cambridge certified), German and I’m learning Arabic and Italian. I also have a driver’s license. Whether it's cooking, teaching, cleaning, helping with kids, animals, or creative tasks – I love trying new things and making the most out of every situation.

I'm driven, spiritual, perfectionistic (in a good way!), and full of energy. I believe in meaningful connections, and I value honesty, commitment, and curiosity. I'm ready to learn, contribute, and grow – and I can't wait to meet you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Thanks to a broad range of experiences and my natural curiosity, I bring a versatile set of skills and a highly motivated attitude to any Workaway project.

I’ve worked in restaurants and cafés, where I learned to work efficiently under pressure, stay organized, and provide excellent service with a smile. I’m comfortable in dynamic environments and always enjoy helping out wherever needed – from kitchen duties to cleaning and welcoming guests.

In addition, I have a strong background in childcare. I’ve worked as a nanny and often take care of children of all ages. I know how to create a safe, fun, and supportive atmosphere, and I really enjoy interacting with kids in a creative and respectful way.

I completed my VWO diploma, which reflects my ability to think critically, stay committed, and keep learning. I speak fluent English (Cambridge Advanced certified), Dutch (native), and German – and I love learning new languages.

I’m creative, hands-on and always looking to learn something new. I love painting, drawing, crafting and DIY projects, and I also design for businesses, such as banners, menus for restaurants, cards and social media content. Whether the task is physical, social or more detail-oriented – I take pride in doing things well and with care.

With my wide interests and helpful nature, I’m confident I can adapt to many types of hosts and projects. From family homes to farms, hostels, language exchanges, or community-based initiatives.
