Hello, we are Inês and Marta, two friends from Portugal that love to travel and enjoy all the new experiences, knowledge, growth and friends that come with it.
We believe that the best way to get to know a place and its culture is by living and working with the people there.
We also love how fullfilling is it to leave home, have a change of scenery, face new challenges and connect with different people.
This is why we signed up for workaway.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Inês:
My first job was at a plant nursery where I gained a lot of gardening skills. I also have some culinary skills because I love to cook and I’ve worked at a coffee shop.
For the past year I've been working as a waitress in a restaurant, and before that I did a workaway at a hotel, where my job consisted of preparing breakfast for the guests and cleaning the rooms.

Painting, drawing, crochet, photography and writing are some of my hobbies, so I could say I'm a creative person who enjoys challenges.

I’ve also done volunteering at an animal sanctuary in Namibia where I was assigned a lot of different tasks, like preparing the food for the animals, helping the biologists, repair work, etc.

I have of lot of experience in hiking and other outdoor activities like camping and kayaking. And I’m very good with animals.

Portuguese is my native language. I'm fluent in english and have basic communication skills in spanish and italian, recently I've started learning mandarin.

Marta:
My first job was at a coffee shop where I gained a lot of experience in costumer service, and for the past two years I've been working as a cook in a restaurant, so I have a lot of skills in culinary and a big interest in cooking and learning new recipes.
I've worked at an hotel too for a while, my job was mostly cleaning.

I'm also a tattoo artist, so I've learned how to use programs like Adobe Photoshop and Procreate. Tattooing is one of my biggest passions and allows me to use my creativity to the max, recently I've been expanding my artistic skills by learning to do crochet and play the drums.

My other big passion is animals, which is why I'm a volunteer at an animal shelter, where I have to clean the dog kennels, feed the dogs, walk them, do some repair work when necessary, etc.

I speak portuguese and I'm fluent in english and spanish.
