Hi! I am a professional pianist and music pedagogue from Belgium. I want to workaway together with my 10yo son to get in touch with other cultures and learn languages. My son is homeschooling due to a cognitive advantage. I am a native Dutch speaker, and also speak French and English and a little bit of German. I also started learning Spanish. My son is a native Dutch and French speaker and also speaks English.

We would like to do workaway because we want to connect with people and cultures, and don't want to be anonymous tourists. We love meeting people and get to know more about other cultures. We both like reading, being in nature, swimming, ... I like to sew and crochet, my son is having circus classes, likes gaming, geography, history and discussing the geopolitical situation in the world.

At the moment, we are looking for a workaway in Germany to learn/improve German during July 2026. We would love to stay with/near a family with children.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a professional pianist and also play the flute, nyckelharpa, diatonic accordeon, ukelele, ... I teach music, conduct a childrens choir, organise music camps, ... I can also teach other subjects, I have experience in teaching in a primary school and homeschool my son. I love to take care of children, I did lots of babysitting and also give workshops in afterschool care. I also have a childrens yoga teacher degree.
I know how to use a sewing machine, crochet a lot.
I am open to other kinds of work too, but I don't have the physical strenght to do heavy construction/renovating/outside work.
