Hi there!

I’m Hanne (30 | BE) and I am passionate about both human wellbeing and animal welfare. I have been a teacher in a high school and educator in a special youth care facility, so I have the first part covered. Now it's time to dive into the second bit and learn even more about all furry friends. I love horses above all and am very interested in R+ training.

The ultimate goal is to create a little homestead. This spring and summer (2025), I want to discover Sweden by mixing both volunteering and travelling in my campervan. I would like to deepen my knowledge in natural horsemanship and R+ training, as well as learning more about nature (including rewilding initiatives), sustainable living and eco-farming and -building.

I am open to stay for both short and long periods, depending on how we work it out. If I only stay for a short period, I can easily live out of my campervan.

My rescue dog Charlie will accompany me on all my adventures. Since he's quite old, he sleeps a large chunk of the day, giving me the opportunity to work. Unfortunately, he has some trauma from his previous life, so I think it better not to join to a household with little children or more than two dogs.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been an English teacher for the past five years, which not only makes me able to teach but has also strengthened my organisational skills, flexibility and teamwork.
Ever since I was a child, I have been surrounded by animals. Small pets at home, cattle at surrounding farms, and horses from my neighbour who was a breeder. I spend a lot of my time in the pastures with the mares and their foals, helping them get familiar with humans and handling in a slow and gentle manner. In 2017, I volunteered in Costa Rica and learned more about Natural Horsemanship. I’ve been occasionally taking classes since.
My father is a handyman, so I’m quite used to fixing things around the house and using tools. If I don’t know how to do something, I will think it through or take a look at YouTube until I can figure it out. I love learning new skills and ecological building has sparked my interest since a year.
