I am currently exploring Europe for the first time. I am currently in London, with hopes of exploring smaller cities in the UK. I hope to see a mixture of historical towns and nature.
Description
Hello everyone! My name is Hannah :) I have a lot of passions and interests, one of which is traveling. I grew up doing road trips with my family, crammed in the back of a minivan with my siblings. It was a wonderful way to see the different landscapes of the US. When we were at home, my parents hosted cyclists through Warm Showers. I remember our first guest was a lovely French lady who taught me how to pronounce French words properly. Despite all of this travel, I was pretty shy and nervous, and terrified to be alone. So when I was twelve years old, my dad sent me on a short hike by myself. I didn’t want to do it, but after I did, I felt so empowered and confident. Since then, I have traveled solo across the US and am now dipping my toes into international travel.
At home, I run a small housecleaning business, as well as help with my family’s window cleaning business. I also enjoy sewing and have been apprenticing with a seamstress to learn how to alter and repair clothes professionally. Music is another passion of mine. I love listening to classical music, and play the violin and piano.
I also love to be outdoors. The mountains are close by, so every summer I go on many hikes and camping trips. I enjoy swimming, running, and cycling as well. In the winter, I go skiing nearly every weekend.
To sum it all up, I have a bit too many hobbies, but that just means I am never bored! I love getting out and seeing what the world has to offer.

I am interested in learning any language! I have tried to learn languages online, but that hasn’t worked very well. The idea of learning a language from somebody in person sounds so amazing. So, teach me your language!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have six younger siblings (four of which are 10+ years younger than me), so I have a lot of experience with babies, toddlers, and younger children.
I also have a lot of experience with regular cleaning and house maintenance. I can cook pretty well, but usually need to follow a recipe. (This is a skill that I would love develop more!)
I am also very organizationally minded. I will organize your spice cabinet or silverware drawer, haha.
For more random skills, I play piano and violin, and am more than willing to teach about those instruments. (note: I don’t have my piano or violin with me while I travel. Pianos are a bit heavy :))
I also know how to sew, and can teach basic mending or clothing construction. Or I could teach you how to make a fancy dress or costume.
I also know how to clean windows professionally. While I am not traveling with a squeegee, I can definitely help clean your windows!

In general, I am excited to experience most anything. I’m used to loud chaos, but also enjoy the quiet moments. I love laughing with people, and also love have deep conversations. I enjoy exploring bustling cities and also hiking in the middle of nowhere. With Workaway, I am most excited to meet people and experience your “normal life” in a different country and culture.
