Hi!
We are Hannah and Michael, an active and outdoorsy couple looking for our first workaway experience!

My name is Hannah, I recently started my masters in urban planning after working in a full time job for five years. So I look forward too the opportunity to travel in my semester break and see new places.
I haven't been with the workaway program until now, but I used to go woofing and similar work/travel experiences in the past. I went travelling on my own a few times before, and allways enjoyed meeting new people in their surroundings, sharing the beauty of their homes.
Characterwise I would describe myself as curious, openminded and hands-on, I like open, direct communication. I might seem a bit shy at first, but that's just me trying to take in all the new impressions.

My name is Michael. I’m from Germany and travelled around the world for about 10 years on bord a containership. Most of the time I saw water and small parts of the ports. Now I want to see more of the world and the people. I have never been with workaway but I think it is a really nice way to meet people, learn about their country, different cultures and to experience something new.
My profession is being an engineer for industrial refrigeration plants. In my leisure time I like sport as rowing, cycling, jogging, hiking and I like being outside to enjoy the nature.
In my rowing club I volunteer as a trainer for beginners in rowing. Also I like doing my own DIY-projects, woodworking and other craftmanship.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Hannah:
I can do basic woodworking, from woofing I have some experience in farm working, gardening, I know how to cook (vegetarian and vegan), I can knit and sow, any basic renovation work like painting, repairs but maybe I need some instructions.
I like learning new skills and am very thorough in what I do.
I like beeing around kids and their projects (arts crafts theatre, whatever is fun) and am patient with them. Also I enjoy singing in my choir and playing the piano.

Michael:
Some of my skills I could share are different types of craftmanship like working with metal and wood. In my flat I renewed parts of the electricity, I installed a new kitchen including some tile work, brick work and painting. I have also experience working in my parents’ garden. That means I am used to physically demanding work.
As I grew up with a dog, some ducks and rabbits I also know a bit about animals and how to take care of them.
