I'm Mathis, a 21-year-old taking a gap year to explore the wonders of South America. I'm super stoked about meeting the locals and soaking in the jaw-dropping landscapes this continent has to offer.
So, me and my childhood buddy Lilian are hitting the road for a whole year to take in all the sights.

When it comes to me, I'm a total outdoor junkie – you name it, I'm into it: mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, windsurfing, rock climbing, and more. I've got a thing for off-the-beaten-path places, love mingling with folks, and I'm all about chasing those new adventures. 🏔
I've got a trusty camera with me to capture all the action for future reminiscing. 📸

Our game plan is to mix it up with some workaway gigs, conquer some peaks, explore some trails, and get fully immersed in the local vibes. Our journey's gonna keep rollin' till June 2024.🌎

My name is Lilian,
I am 22 years old and I just finished a license specializing in mountain sports. 🏄‍♂️
Practicing downhill cycling, trail running and snowboarding in winter, nature occupies a central place in my balance.

Traveling through South America is a chance to confront a unique and still preserved ecosystem.🌱 Understanding how it works and discovering all its facets fascinates me and strengthens me in the desire to protect it. 🐜

Besides this desire for adrenaline, accompanying my long-time friend Mathis in his gap year is important to me to share, discover and meet new people far from home. This adventure therefore has for me an equally important human dimension.🕺

Professional musicians in the making (drummer), on my return I will join an English producer to start new musical projects. I think that unconscious I also come to look for Latin influences. 🥁
I think that’s what makes me happy. Sharing moments out of my comfort zone, in the mountains with the people I love, playing music with new people and learning from others.🤲

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As for me, I'm a mechanical engineering student. I know my stuff when it comes to mechanics, and I'm pretty handy. I'm also comfortable with computers and enjoy taking photos and making videos. Lilian, on the other hand, is a lifeguard, an entertainer, and a coach for young rugby players. Lilian is a musician and plays the drums. We're both resourceful, physically active folks, and we're not afraid of getting our hands dirty, probably from our days playing rugby together.

Lilian has been into fishing since he was a little kid, and we can both cook up some tasty meals.

We like meeting new people, having a good time, or going on adventures. We're really excited to explore the awesome things this country has to offer and get to know the locals.
