Hey there!

My name is Hedvika, and I'm from Germany, more specifically from the beautiful city of Munich.
I graduated this year and decided to take a year off after all that learning.
I thought long about what I wanted to do during that time, but it was clear to me from the beginning that I wanted to leave my country, travel, and experience a whole new culture – its people, the nature, and possibly a whole new continent.
After some thinking, I decided that Europe, as exciting and breathtaking as it is, didn't quite align with my vision.

I found out about the concept of Work and Travel and instantly knew that this was the perfect fit for me. Now that I knew what I wanted to do, the question shifted to where.
Originally, I considered Canada and New Zealand, but ultimately decided on the latter, as some of my friends were also planning on doing work and travel in New Zealand, and the cold Canadian weather scared me off.
I couldn't be happier with this decision, having recently fallen in love with New Zealand's stunning nature through documentaries.

Growing up near the Alps fueled my passion for hiking, and I'm eagerly looking forward to my future hiking trips in New Zealand.
As much as I like being in nature, I also appreciate a good book for company.
Additionally, strolling around the city with friends and exploring art galleries or cafes brings me immense joy.

I look forward to new adventures and challenges I will face in New Zealand, but I'm positive that I will create memories that will last a lifetime.
I can't wait to call New Zealand my home for a while, and I'm already counting down the days in excitement!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

After graduation, I worked in retail for about six months, gaining valuable experience in customer service, sales, and team collaboration.
This role really helped my communication and interpersonal skills and also allowed me to navigate fast-paced environments effectively.
Before working in retail I provided private English lessons to children at my school. Therefore I am quite confident when it comes to working together with children.
