Description
We are Titia and Hilbert. We are both self employed and work part time. Titia can also do some work while on the way. This allows us to make long trips. We are experienced house- and animal sitters and like to work with our hands. Regularly we travel around with our van in Europe: camping, walking, cycling, canoeing, making music. We also like to do work as volunteers, to experience an other way of life and to get to know people in the country we are visiting. We love the countrysite and rural places and are not interested in luxuery or city life. We don't smoke and learn new things quickly.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
We have experience with a lot of animals: cows, horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, dogs and cats.
We know a bit about making yoghurt, cheese, milking cows and goats.
Since 2019 we are housesitting and taking care of animals and doing all kinds of jobs around the house or farm. Since 2022 we joined Workaway.
Some years ago we helped building a big sheepshed in the far north of Norway.
In 2022 we made a workaway trip for 3 months in France, Italy and Germany.
We have been in England for 2 months in 2023. Milking, making yoghurt, cheese and working a lot in an organic garden.
In Spain and Portugal we went from novembre 2023 till february 2024. Here we have been painting, making a mosaic, cutting trees and yucca's, taking care of horses.
Titia can give massages and loves dancing. Hilbert loves to make music (melodeon, djembe, singing) and sailing.

Titia and Hilbert were always hard-working and interested in learning new things. This made them a great help to us and, after a short period of familiarization, they were able to lend a hand wherever they were needed. They worked independently most of the time. On a hill near an old village we found Steve and Sandy with their 2 lovely funny dogs in a house with a beautiful view. They have some land on terrasses. We found a beautiful oase in south of Spain with Zoë and Laurence. We had a warm welcome and we loved the very well organised help which we could do. Living for 3 weeks was an amazing experience! We had such a great welcome, lovely conversations, regularly shared meals and also learned how to make cheese, milk cows and goats.
