Description
Hi, my name is Midori. I’m currently studying at a Danish folk high school (Folkehøjskole) that focuses on democracy and community living. I came here from Japan to experience new ways of thinking and living.
Before coming to Denmark, I studied art intensively and then worked for four years at a high-end jewelry shop, where I was involved in both buying and selling. I truly love art—not only appreciating it, but also creating it.
Travel has always been a big part of my life. Thanks to my family, I’ve visited over 20 countries since I was a child, and I enjoyed outdoor activities like hiking, canoeing, and horseback riding.
During my six months at the folk high school, I’ve been exploring creativity through textiles and ceramics, and also diving into philosophy and psychology—sharing thoughts and perspectives with others. I’ve also enjoyed sailing, yoga, and gardening as a way to reconnect with nature and understand how I want to live in balance with the world around me.
I also have a knowledge of Japanese culture. I cook regularly and can prepare typical Japanese dishes (though nothing too complicated!). If there’s an opportunity, I’d be happy to wear and share the tradition of kimono—something that not many people in Japan wear or know how to put on these days. I’ve traveled to all 47 prefectures in Japan, so if you’re interested in Japan, I’d love to share lots of stories, ideas, and hidden gems with you.
Now that school is on a summer break, I’m looking forward to meeting new people, discovering new places, and sharing meaningful experiences—perhaps with you!Centres d’intérêt

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
My strongest skills are in metal crafting and drawing. I’m also confident with fine handwork, painting, digital visual design and photography. I love anything creative.
I have a driver’s license in Japan, but it’s not an international license and I usually only used an electric scooter in daily life.
While I don’t have any formal experience in gardening, I used to paint botanical illustrations as a hobby—so I’m quite good at identifying plants and observing the small details in nature.
Back in Japan, I had a dog, and I absolutely love being around animals and taking care of them.Âge
