Hi, I am currently travelling around Asia with my boyfriend Billy on an open ended journey. We have been together 9 years and after years of studying we decided it was the perfect time to explore a different side of the world.

What excites us most about travel is connecting with people and experiencing life from a local perspective. While we enjoy visiting beautiful places, the moments we value and remember the most are the unplanned encounters like sharing meals, hearing people’s stories and getting a glimpse into how life is lived in different communities.

We are friendly, positive and easy going people who enjoy meeting new people and building genuine connections. We love being outdoors, staying active, exploring nature, and trying new experiences. We are always keen to learn new skills, lend a hand wherever needed and get involved in day to day life rather than simply passing through as a tourist.

Through Workaway, we hope to contribute in a meaningful way while learning from the people we meet. For us, travel is about cultural exchange, shared experiences and creating memories with people from different backgrounds. We are excited to learn, help out and become part of a community, even if only for a short time.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a newly qualified accountant from the UK, having spent several years studying and working towards my qualification. Maths has always been my favourite subject and I enjoy problem solving.

As a native English speaker, I’m always happy to help others practise their English through conversation and cultural exchange.

Beyond my professional skills, I’m happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing. Whether that’s helping around the house, assisting with guests, looking after animals, gardening, or learning completely new skills.

Family is very important to me. I love spending time with my 5 year old niece, who I often describe as my little mini-me. I have a 7year old dachshund, Duke, who is very much a member of the family. Because of this, I’m comfortable around children and pets and enjoy spending time with both.

Over the past four years, I’ve developed a real love for skiing and enjoy challenging myself to learn new things. One of my personal goals is to learn another language, as I think it’s a great way to connect with people and better understand different cultures.
