I've been working in mental health for people who are homeless and worked on my family farm. Now I am looking forward to travelling, learning about cultures, farming and sustainable living abroad

Description

I'm a qualified occupational therapist, farmer and yoga instructor from Ireland taking time to travel, meet new people and have new experiences, y mejorar el español.
I'll be travelling Central and South America with my partner Kayleigh in 2024 and I'm really excited to learn about different cultures, and ways of life. I'm particularly interested in farming in sustainable ways, supporting minority groups and people with disabilities but I'm very open minded and hardworking and excited for all experiences that come our way during our travels.
I love yoga, singing, playing guitar, learning new languages, nature, photography and getting my hands dirty with helping out in any way I can.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've worked as an Occupational Therapist for the past 4 years supporting adults with disabilities to build up their independence and have a more fulfilling daily life. My experience supporting individuals learn new skills, adapting the environment to better match people's abilities and finding creative solutions to problems is something that I am keen to bring to any workaway that is interested.
I've grown up on a sheep farm in ireland and went to agricultural college so I have experience caring for farm animals, growing tillage and vegetables, fencing, planting trees.
I am a qualified yoga instructor with experience teaching classes to adults and from my work in mental health services I bring trauma informed practice into my classes and try to adapt my classes to be accessible to all abilities.
I have my full drivers license.
I am CPR trained.
I have completed a 120hr TEFL course.
I'm a good cook and can sew and crochet.
I also have a good level of spanish and I'm keen to improve this during my travels.
