Hello there, my name is Gileesa, and I'm from Australia. I've found myself back in my homeland after spending 2 years living/travelling overseas and am longing to connect, learn and experience different ways of living and being!
I've just spent the last nine months living in Tassie and am longing for the sun! I plan to make my way north, heading towards the northern rivers this month. I'm hoping to stumble upon an eco-village, permaculture farm, or conscious community or maybe all of them!! I feel incredibly drawn to communities that practice sustainable ways of living. It would be a real joy to deepen this passion and learn more about how to truly tend to the land.
When I was travelling, I had the opportunity of getting to experience living in an eco-village in a small town in Sweden. This really changed my perspective on community and how much it contributes to our well-being and helps us flourish! I really learnt to love there and feel immensely grateful for that experience.

I am currently studying to become a birthing and postpartum doula. Oh, how I feel very passionate about birth and being a support for women in such a space. My course will finish at the start of 2026, so I hope to dedicate some hours to my studies when it aligns with the duties and tasks that are required from my host :)
And I will say a few things that I love and am often doing that bring so much joy into my days, which include doing yoga, sitting in the sun soaking it up, reading, painting, gardening, cooking, dancing! bush walking, and mainly spending most of my time outside, I also love to have a bit of a giggle!
It would be a sweet joy to connect with like-minded individuals. And I feel excited for where I may end up!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have thankfully had a lot of experience in customer service this included retail as well as food and beverage attendant in numerous positions. I have also had the opportunity to get in the field of being a support worker for aged care and disability, this is something I very much enjoyed doing!
I also have knowledge and experience in gardening and taking care of veggie patch’s and animal care.
