Hello everybody!

My name is Gina and I come from the north of Germany. I am a trained elementary school teacher and have been working for around five years at a small village school. Teaching has always been a true passion of mine. I genuinely enjoy working with children, supporting their development, helping them grow in confidence and creating a positive learning environment. Over the years, my job has taught me a lot about patience, empathy, communication, creativity and responsibility. I have learned how to stay calm in challenging situations, organize everyday routines, adapt to different needs and build trusting relationships with children, parents and colleagues. I do not regret choosing this profession at all. In many ways, becoming a teacher was one of the most meaningful decisions I have made.

At the same time, I have gradually realized that it is not the profession itself that no longer feels right for me, but the environment and the circumstances around it. My own values, ideas and thoughts about education have changed and developed over time, and I increasingly feel that the school system I am currently working in no longer fully reflects what I believe good education and meaningful learning should look like. I still care deeply about teaching and education. What has become difficult for me is feeling limited by structures and conditions that do not always leave enough space for individuality, creativity, real connection and personal development. Because of this, I started asking myself what kind of life and work environment would truly fit me in the future.

Traveling has played a huge role in this process. Over the last years, I have spent two months in the United States, three months in Ireland and traveled through Vietnam in February 2026. Especially during my time abroad, I learned a lot about myself and about what I really want from life. Being away from familiar routines, meeting people with completely different backgrounds and experiencing other cultures helped me look at my own life from a new perspective. Traveling showed me how much I enjoy learning from others, discovering different ways of living and stepping outside of what is familiar to me. It also made me realize that I want to give myself the freedom to explore new paths instead of following one direction simply because it is expected or familiar.

Right now, I am at a point in my life where I want to travel more, meet new people and cultures and continue growing both personally and professionally. I want to improve my English until I can speak it fluently and confidently, develop new practical skills and challenge myself with experiences that are completely new to me. One of my biggest wishes is to learn how to ride a horse. I have always felt very connected to animals and nature, and I would love to spend time on a farm or somewhere surrounded by animals, where I can learn more about caring for them, daily farm life and working with my hands. During my stays in the United States and Ireland, I also gained experience with housesitting and petsitting. Taking care of someone else's home and animals taught me a lot about trust, responsibility and independence. I really enjoyed becoming part of a different everyday life for a while and experiencing a place in a more personal and local way.

I would describe myself as curious, open-minded and outgoing. I love laughing, having fun and meeting new people, but I also appreciate deeper conversations and meaningful connections. Personal development has become increasingly important to me, and I enjoy reflecting on myself, questioning old patterns and learning from people who see the world differently than I do. I also enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. I like sports such as volleyball, basketball and going to the gym, and I love being in nature and spending time with family, friends and animals. I am also interested in photography and enjoy discovering new hobbies and skills along the way.

Food and healthy living are topics I enjoy as well. I like trying new recipes, especially healthier or more sustainable alternatives, and I am always curious to discover new ingredients and dishes from different cultures.

For my next chapter, I am not simply looking for a holiday. I want to become part of everyday life somewhere new, contribute with the skills and experiences I already have and at the same time learn from the people around me. After five years of teaching, I have gained a lot of professional and life experience that I would love to carry with me into the world. I want to share what I have learned, but I also want to stay open to being inspired myself. At the moment, I do not know exactly where this journey will lead me, and I am okay with that. I see this time as an opportunity to explore, learn, grow and find out what kind of path truly feels right for me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an open-minded, reliable and caring person who enjoys meeting new people, helping others and experiencing different ways of life. I learn quickly, enjoy trying new things and am always happy to help where I can.

A big part of my experience comes from working with children. I have around five years of professional experience in schools, as well as previous internships in kindergartens. Through this, I have developed strong skills in organizing daily routines, planning activities, helping with homework, explaining things patiently and adapting to different situations. I am used to taking responsibility, staying calm when things get busy and working both independently and as part of a team.

Traveling has also taught me a lot about independence, flexibility and responsibility. During two months in the United States and three months in Ireland, I gained experience with housesitting and petsitting. I looked after homes and pets while the owners were away, followed their daily routines and made sure everything was clean, organized and well taken care of. I really enjoy being around animals and feel comfortable with feeding, walking, playing and caring for them.

In everyday life, I am used to managing my own household, so I can help with cleaning, cooking, organizing and other practical tasks around the house. My parents also have a large house and garden, so I am familiar with basic gardening and outdoor work.

I also studied German and can help with language practice or basic translations between German and English. In addition, I have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Overall, I would describe myself as responsible, patient, adaptable and easy to get along with. I enjoy being useful, learning from others and contributing wherever help is needed.
